Wow!
What a day!
No, really, what an awesome day! Only the Team Awesome from Woodside could exceed expectations and complete almost all of their jobs for the week with one day still to go! Awesome!
Everyone really clicked today and the whole neighborhood is now abuzz for tomorrow’s grand finale, the unveiling and planting of our gardens. Rumor has it that we have completed 20 brand new 4x8 gardens for the families living in this settlement, so planting them will certainly be a blessing to all those around them.
To reward our team, the plan is to take the afternoon off, go to the beach, or just take a nice nap. This week has certainly been the most tiring of all the trips I have done, and there is some agreement amongst all of us that we have kicked some serious butt once again!
There is so much more we wish we could do, and it is always hard to leave our site for the last time and give our best to the families that have gathered to say goodbye, but tomorrow we will do so knowing we have given them a better life.
And that’s the most important thing of all.
TONIGHT: Our closing ceremonies. Who will pray? Eat? Cry? Hug? We’ll find out soon…

Woodside Team Awesome - God is smiling on you! I'm sure everyone is as tired as you 2 look - I'm glad you can get some rest time this afternoon before the Big Event tonight and your return to Yardley tomorrow.
James - your co-leader from the NC trip called with details for next week! So - sleep on the plane and get ready to do this again next week!
We are all looking forward to hearing the details about your week and seeing the video, but especially welcoming you home! See you soon!
Love,
JoAnn
Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow, hear all the great stories and see all the pictures. Max, please leave the bedbugs there, okay? We'll be saying lots of prayers for a safe & uneventful trip home. So proud of all of you who stepped out of your "box" in faith to allow God to use you in the Bahamas! Can't believe how many gardens you planted? Any signs of last year's gardens? See you all tomorrow!!!
Love, Sandy
Looks like the word is spreading - as of 10am Fri see you got 30 clicks to the YouTube videos from Twitter and 187+ views of your video blog updates. It's been great getting the news in "real time" and look forward to seeing/hearing the details upon your safe return tomorrow. Godspeed.
Great, great job everyone. We all wish and pray everyone a safe trip home. Now for the important news. Last Thursday night Phils 9 Padres 4. Hamels gets the win. Ruiz gets a homerun. Phils won two out of three against the Cubs and are now on a one game winning streak. Big game tonight vs. St. Louis. Happ pitcher. Anyway, I know tonight will be an awesome night. Just know that all of us from PA are as proud as could be of all of you and can't wait for you to come home and please know that you are missed. Take care and God Bless.
Hi Everyone,
Congratulations to you all on a huge task well done! You all should be so proud of yourselves for being so incredibly selfless, giving and motivated. On a more personal note, here's a special shout out to Nick and Scott - now that I know you can paint, scrape, garden and use a hammer, I have a lot of work here at home for you!!
Love,
Ellen
